Ronald R. Laack, 76 of Plainview, died Wednesday, May 17 in Rochester, following a  
courageous battle with cancer.
Ronald was born July 11, 1941 in Quincy Township, Olmsted County to Alvin and
Helen (Haack) Laack. He attended school in Elgin and Plainview. Ronald worked many
years with his brother David and his Service King Carpet and repair business. He was
a volunteer at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha for over 25 years. Photography
was his passion. He loved nature and spending time in the Whitewater Valley and
Trempealeau Wildlife Area. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Ronald is survived by his siblings, Glenn Laack of Pine Island, David (Rena) Laack of
Rochester and Carol Garro of Omaha, Nebraska; special friend Judy Ashenmacher
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Marvin.
Funeral service is Wednesday, May 23, 11:00 a.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in
Plainview with Chaplain Floyd O’Brien officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the
service at the funeral home Wednesday.
Memorials are preferred to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha or Mayo Hospice.
