Obituary for Anne Staloch
Anne Verna Staloch, age 87, of Eyota, died Friday, March 1st at the home she
shared with her
daughter and son in law located in the Whitewater Valley.
Anne was born on November 4th, 1931 in Webster, South Dakota to Leo and
Rose (Sichmeller)
Dolney. She attended Webster High School.
In 1948 she moved to Rochester, Minnesota. On October 15th, 1949 she
married Gene
Staloch in Decorah, Iowa. They lived their entire married life in Eyota, Minnesota.
In the Spring
of 2011, Anne and Gene moved to Arbor Gardens, Gene passed away in June
of that year.
Anne remained at Arbor Gardens until 2015 when she moved in with her
daughter, Sharron and
son in law, Dave,
Anne devoted her life to her family and her faith. She was a proud homemaker
and mother,
followed by caring for her grandchildren. She was a member of the Holy
Redeemer Catholic
Church in Eyota and was a current member of the Eyota Legion Auxiliary. Anne
canning, puzzles, reading and baking for her family.
Survivors include her children, Deborah (Rod) Hofschulte of Omaha, Nebraska,
Sharron (Dave)
Behrens and Jayne (Jeff) Behrens both of Elba, Minnesota, Joan (Ross) Flury of
Minnesota and Greg (Deb) Staloch of Eyota, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; 21
grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren, and 2 brothers, George
(Bonnie) of Bristol,
South Dakota and Dennis of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Anne was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 great grandchild,
3 brothers and
6 sisters.
The funeral mass will be Friday, March 8th at 11:00am at the Holy Redeemer
Catholic Church
in Eyota with Father Timothy Biren officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the
service at the
church. Burial will follow the service at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery. A
luncheon will
be served at the Eyota American Legion.
